Job overview
As a Clinical Education Facilitator (Technology-Enhanced Learning), you will help shape how we prepare and support the UCLH workforce for safe, high-quality patient care. You’ll be part of a friendly, multi-professional Clinical Education team, using simulation, immersive technologies and digital tools to design and deliver engaging learning that makes a real difference to staff and patients. Working alongside clinicians, educators and digital innovation partners, you’ll contribute to education across the Trust while keeping a meaningful link with clinical practice.
This role will suit a registered healthcare professional who enjoys teaching, with clinical education experience and knowledge using AI, VR and XR, and is motivated by turning complex concepts into practical, impactful training. You will be supported by an experienced faculty, with access to mentorship and a tailored development plan in areas such as simulation, Human Factors and educational practice. If you’re ready to grow your career in clinical education and play a key part in building a digitally enabled learning culture at UCLH, we would be delighted to hear from you.
Main duties of the job
In this role you will work closely with Clinical Education Programmes Manager and Simulation Centre Manager to plan, deliver and evaluate a wide range of clinical education activities for staff across UCLH, with a particular focus on using simulation and technology-enhanced learning. You will translate real clinical challenges into practical learning sessions, facilitate debriefs that support reflection and psychological safety, and help staff build confidence in managing complex situations at the bedside. You will work closely with clinical teams, educators and digital partners to coordinate programmes, pilot new tools such as AI and VR, and gather feedback to refine what we offer. You’ll also contribute to faculty development, support the smooth running of courses and study days, and help ensure our education is inclusive, evidence-based and aligned with Trust priorities. This role combines hands-on teaching with project coordination and will suit someone organised, proactive and comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical education environment.
