Hayley Dexis is looking for an Office Apprentice to join our team based at our Southern Branch based in West Thurrock. Hayley Dexis is the largest independent distributor of engineering products and consumables (hydraulics, bearings, fasteners, fluid power, PPE, tools, lubricants etc) in the UK. About the Branch / Office Apprentice opportunity As our Branch / Office Apprentice you’ll be based from our branch in West Thurrock. We are a team of 17 and you will learn all aspects of who we are as a business, the products we supply and the services we offer. This is a fantastic role where you’ll learn all areas of administration support that the branch needs from customer service to sales administration and system learning. You’ll typically be dealing with customer emails, chasing orders and learning how to put orders on the systems. You’ll be answering the phone and learning how to deal with different enquiries. This role is ideal for candidates who have an interest in business, customer service or office administration type roles who are confident communicators and willing to learn. You’ll have achieved a GCSEs (or above) or equivalent qualification to be at the right standard for this role. Successful candidates will undertake an apprenticeship in Customer Service or Business Administration the level will depend on what current level of qualification you have achieved already so we are open to any level. Study and coursework hours will be offer within the working day and the duration of our apprenticeships of typically 1 – 2 years. Working hours: 40 hours per week Monday to Friday (8am – 5pm) This is based on-site Monday to Friday. What we're looking for. A keen interest in business / administrative duties GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths ideally at L4 or above Able to travel to work and based locally. No prior experience required—just enthusiasm and a willingness to learn Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Logical thinking skills and keen attention to detail. Well-presented and enthusiastic about building a career.
