As a Senior Data Engineer, you’ll play a key role in designing, building and improving IPO’s data infrastructure. Working within a multidisciplinary delivery team, you’ll develop robust data services and solutions that support both internal teams and external users.
This is a hands‑on technical role where you’ll build and optimise data pipelines, support cloud‑based platforms, and help ensure data is accessible, reliable and reusable across the organisation. You’ll also have the opportunity to explore new technologies and contribute to building a strong, modern data engineering capability.
The role follows a hybrid working model, with time split between home working and the Newport office.
What you’ll be doing
* Lead and deliverdata enhancements, using the team’s tools and expertise to drive improvements.
* Build, own and maintaindata pipelines and data engineering solutions.
* Develop and optimiseETL processes to improve performance and efficiency.
* Support integration of data across internal and external systems.
* Work closely with Data Management and Business Intelligence teams to improvedata access and usability.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to understand user needs and shape data solutions.
* Apply data engineering approaches to solvecomplex business challenges.
* Support the organisation’s wider vision for how data is used across IPO.
* Contribute to building ahigh‑performing data engineering capability.
