Systems Engineer (Functional Safety/Product Safety)
MCS Group is delighted to be recruiting skilled Systems Engineers (Functional Safety/Product Safety) to join our client's team and play a critical role in ensuring products meet international safety and environmental standards.
You will be responsible for planning and managing safety related activities across the product lifecycle, from hazard analysis and risk evaluation to the development of safety and environmental requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead safety and environmental design activities within integrated project teams.
* Conduct hazard analyses, develop safety cases, and ensure compliance with industry standards.
* Provide guidance to engineering teams to embed safety and environmental considerations into product design.
* Maintain and improve safety processes and contribute to cost and activity planning.
The successful candidate will have:
* Background in product safety engineering within a technical environment.
* Strong understanding of safety and environmental regulations and standards.
* Proven ability to develop safety arguments and deliver clear documentation.
* Degree in Science or Engineering (postgraduate safety/environmental qualifications desirable).
* Chartered status or working toward professional registration preferred.
