Robert Half is recruiting for a Business Analyst to join a member's association for a fixed term contract.

Day Rate: £55, 000 per annum
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join an ambitious development programme focused on the redevelopment of a core line-of-business application.
The Role
You will quickly immerse yourself in a sophisticated business and data landscape, analysing and challenging existing systems and processes to help design and document a future-state solution.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Analysing, documenting and challenging current systems and processes
2. Capturing and defining as-is and to-be states, including gap analysis and roadmap development
3. Understanding complex data structures and mapping existing information architecture to the new application
4. Creating user personas and defining user journeys and stories
5. Gathering requirements and capturing business pain points
6. Building and refining product backlogs in Jira
7. Working within Agile Scrum ceremonies (and deputising for the Project Manager when required)
8. Supporting usability testing, QA collaboration and release cycles
9. Producing and maintaining high-quality documentation in Confluence
10. Championing user-centric design and innovative thinking
Essential Experience & Skills
11. Proven track record delivering value on web and application development projects
12. Experience working in complex, data-heavy business environments
13. Strong understanding of relational databases and ability to interpret/convey data models
14. Experience defining user journeys, user stories and information architecture
15. Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
16. Experience documenting workflows and business processes (e.g. Visio)
17. Agile and Scrum framework experience
18. Excellent facilitation skills, with the ability to run workshops and extract requirements from diverse stakeholders
19. Strong documentation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
20. Degree-level education or equivalent
Desirable
21. Experience querying transactional databases (e.g. SQL / SSMS)
22. Wireframing tools such as Adobe XD or Axure
23. Working knowledge of Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence)
24. BA or Agile/Scrum certifications
