Location: DeMay Living Center or Clifton Springs Nursing Home
Hours Per Week: 40 hours/week during training
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8 AM - 4 PM during training
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for those looking to kickstart their career in healthcare! As a C.N.A Trainee, you will embark on a journey to acquire the essential skills needed to become a Certified Nursing Assistant (C.N.A). Your training will include taking and passing the C.N.A Training Class and the state-mandated test to earn your certification. Once you complete your classes, you can begin working as a nursing aide while you await your certification!
Your Responsibilities
* Master the skills necessary to successfully pass the C.N.A certification.
* Maintain good standing in the training program; failure to do so may result in termination.
* Follow resident care plans, ensuring all personal care needs are met.
* Provide personal care to residents, including bathing, toileting, feeding, transferring, and ambulating.
* Encourage resident involvement and independence.
* Observe and report any changes in residents' conditions to the nursing staff.
* Transport residents throughout the facility as needed.
* Attend in-service training sessions to meet state requirements.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
What We’re Looking For
Required Qualifications
* C.N.A. Certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
* High School Diploma or equivalent.
* Excellent interpersonal communication skills, including telephone etiquette.
* Detail-oriented and service-focused.
Physical Requirements
This role involves medium work, requiring the ability to exert 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently. You will need to be comfortable with frequent walking, standing, or squatting.
Compensation
Pay Range: $15.97/hour
The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full-time applicant. It may be modified in the future and is eligible for additional pay components. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
