We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic and dedicated Early Years Practitioner to join our preschool team on a maternity cover contract for approximately 9–12 months.

Job Description – Early Years Practitioner (Maternity Cover)
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
* Provide high-quality care and education to children in line with the EYFS framework.
* Support children's learning and development through play, planned activities, and positive interactions.
* Work as part of a team to create a safe, stimulating, and nurturing preschool environment.
* Build strong relationships with children, parents, carers, and colleagues.
* Ensure safeguarding and welfare requirements are met at all times.
* Contribute to planning, observation, and assessment in line with preschool policies.
* Promote equality, diversity, and inclusion in all aspects of practice.
Person Specification
Essential:
* A recognised qualification in Early Years Childcare (Level 2 or 3, or equivalent).
* A genuine passion for working with young children.
* Good knowledge and understanding of the EYFS framework.
* Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively.
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
* Willingness to undertake all relevant checks and training.
Desirable:
* Previous experience of working in an early years setting.
* Additional training in safeguarding, SEN, or behaviour management.
