About the Role
Our operation runs 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, with a wide variety of shift patterns. If you're looking for flexible working to fit around your lifestyle, then look no further! We'll work with you on your shifts, but late and weekend working is a requirement of the role, and we may need to be flexible with your work pattern.
Our stores are packed with thousands of products, from clothes and household items to tinned foods, frozen goods, and chilled produce. Our warehouse teams pick and organize the right products to ensure they all reach the correct stores at the right time. This is a vital part of our supply chain, making for fast-moving, busy, and varied work.
As well as completing a Level 2 warehouse operative apprenticeship, you'll be responsible for:
1. Replenishing stock of all shapes and sizes in the warehouse.
2. Picking stock either by store or by product type and preparing deliveries for stores.
3. Using all our equipment (we'll fully train you on how to use it safely and effectively).
If you're interested in pursuing a career in logistics through the completion of a Level 2 apprenticeship alongside your job, this could be the role for you! You will have support from our apprenticeship provider Babcock and your line manager throughout your 12-month journey on the Level 2 warehouse operative apprenticeship. Please note you will need to pass functional Maths and English skills tests to be eligible unless exempt from prior learning.
About You
You will be naturally friendly and eager to get involved, working with your team to deliver excellent results. You should have an enthusiastic approach to learning new skills and deliver high standards by working accurately and efficiently. Caring about delivering goods 'on time in full' ensures stores have the right stock at the right time, keeping products available for our customers. You should also be willing to commit to the Level 2 warehouse operative apprenticeship for 12 months.
