Are you someone with experience in developing solutions using Microsoft Power Apps and Power Automate? Then look no further – this role is for you!
We are looking for an Automation Modelling Specialist to join our supportive team. No actuarial or financial experience is necessary for this role. In fact, it could provide the ideal opportunity for someone with a different background to learn about the insurance sector!
Aviva has introduced “smart-working” and the person in this role would ideally be based in Norwich, but could potentially be based anywhere in the UK, as long as they are comfortable regularly travelling to our Norwich office twice a month.
A bit about the job:
The role will involve working in a Finance innovation team to build tools and improve processes in the wider Finance and Actuarial areas. You will undertake, manage and develop actuarial analysis to advice and support business decisions and ensure these meet all risk and regulatory requirements.
You will provide technical support and advice on complex issues and queries.
Tasks can be tailored to the individual, but could include:
* Designing and building apps and automation flows
* Improving existing processes, and re-implementing existing Excel processes
* Integrating apps and flows with other technologies used by the team, e.g. R, Unify
* Giving guidance to other developers to improve standards across the team
* Presenting complex data in useful ways
* Liaising with business users to make sure any output meets business needs
* Training business users in any new tools
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
* Experience of building high quality apps and cloud flows
* The ability to work collaboratively with business users and other developers
* Familiarity with Power Fx / WDL for more complex operations is preferable
* Support the delivery of good customer outcomes through all activities and deliverables, enabling us to act in good faith towards customers, avoid causing foreseeable harm and enable and support our customers to pursue their financial objective

* National salary £60.000 - £70,000, London salary £70,000 - £80,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
