Due to retirement of the current post holder, we are inviting applications for a Consultant Community Paediatrician to work in the Brent Community Paediatric team.
This advert is for a full time (10 PA) role however we also welcome part time applicants as the job plan can be configured according to applicant experience and interest within the scope of the clinical requirements within the service.
There is no shift work or on call duties required for this role.
All Consultant Community Paediatricians job plans include neuro-disability / CDC clinics, child protection medicals, Education Health and Care Plan assessments, social communication assessments and trainee supervision and support. This role also includes dedicated PAs to cover the roles of Medical Advisor for Adoption and Named Doctor for Safeguarding.
As Medical Advisor for Adoption you will be working alongside a colleague who fulfils the Medical Advisor for Fostering role and as Named Doctor for Safeguarding you will be working closely with a newly developed role for a Nurse Consultant for Safeguarding.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic paediatrician to join our well-established and friendly team of experienced community paediatricians. Excellent paediatric clinical skills and written and verbal communication are essential, as is strong team working.
The Brent Community Paediatric Team sits within Brent Children’s Clinical Services Unit (CSU) alongside other specialist services including Children’s Community Nursing, Special School Nursing, Looked After Children, Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy as well as universal services such as School Nursing and Health Visiting.
