Social Worker - Supporting Independence Team, Chester

Cheshire West and Chester Council is seeking a highly motivated, reflective, and experienced social worker to join the Supporting Independence Team (formerly Leaving Care Team) based at The Portal, Ellesmere Port. The successful candidate will be a strong team player with excellent communication skills and a commitment to collaborative working. A professional social work qualification is essential for this role.


Role Overview

The post holder will be an integral part of our Children’s Social Care Permanence Hub, demonstrating a commitment to children and young people in care by providing high-quality Pathway Planning to support their transition into adulthood. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of the needs of children and young people in care, develop positive relationships, and evidence effective Care and Permanency Planning.
