Our end client have a vacancy for a dynamic graduate to join our small but busy finance team. The role will work closely with senior team members to grow their experience of accounting within a multi-tenant SME environment. There will be exposure to all elements of the business including payroll, preparation of management accounts, VAT reporting and audit. There is an expectation that this individual will be working towards their professional qualification.
In this post, responsibilities are likely to include:
1. Prepare and review financial statements and reports.
2. Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with regulations.
3. Support the senior team with audits and other accounting projects.
4. Maintain accurate and organised financial records.
5. Use accounting software to manage and process transactions effectively.
6. Identify opportunities for process improvements within the finance department.
7. Collaborate with colleagues to meet deadlines and client expectations.
To be successful you will require :
8. Demonstrable academic studies in Business, Finance or Accounting
9. To be working towards Finance & Accounting professional qualifications
10. Some practical exposure working in Finance / Accounting in a professional environments.
11. Advanced Mathematical and analytical skills.
12. A proven attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
13. Strong MS Office skills (ideally advanced Excel)
14. Excellent time management, organisational, communication and interpersonal skills
**Based Glasgow City Centre this post offers a hybrid working model, as such a reasonable commutable distance from Glasgow would be expected.
