<div><p><b>Job Title: Analytical Development Scientist</b></p><p><b>Location:</b> Huddersfield, UK</p><p><b>Pay Rate:</b>£21.27 per hour</p><h3>Overview</h3><p>We are currently seeking an Analytical Development Scientist to join a leading organisation within the Process Technology function based in Huddersfield. This is a 12-month contract opportunity offering hands‑on involvement in analytical science supporting manufacturing and process development.</p><h3>Role Purpose</h3><p>The successful candidate will provide measurement science to support and improve manufacturing processes for both new and existing products. You will play a key role in generating insights from laboratory and plant data, enabling process optimisation and supporting business objectives.</p><h3>Key Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver analytical support for process development and manufacturing.</li><li>Plan, manage and conduct chemical and physical analysis, including non‑routine analytical development projects.</li><li>Apply scientific knowledge to improve existing processes and identify opportunities for innovation.</li><li>Provide expert laboratory support and analytical chemistry guidance to local and global teams.</li><li>Ensure all activities are recorded and conducted in compliance with site, company, and regulatory standards.</li><li>Support continuous improvement in safety practices and departmental procedures.</li><li>Contribute to knowledge sharing and development of best practices within the team.</li></ul><h3>Required Qualifications & Experience</h3><ul><li>Degree (BSc, MSc or equivalent) in Chemistry or Analytical Chemistry.</li><li>Proven experience in analytical method development.</li><li>Strong knowledge of HSE systems and QA procedures.</li></ul><h3>Technical Skills & Experience</h3><ul><li>Hands‑on experience with analytical techniques such as LC, GC, MS, NMR, FTIR, SEM, EDS, PSD.</li><li>Experience in method development, validation, calibration and modelling.</li><li>Experience in data analysis, statistics and experimental design.</li><li>Experience in process monitoring and process improvement implementation.</li><li>Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.</li><li>Effective communication and stakeholder engagement.</li><li>Ability to interpret complex data and present findings clearly.</li><li>Strong organisational and time‑management skills.</li><li>Collaborative mindset with the ability to work across teams.</li></ul></div>
