An rare opportunity has arisen for a talented Sous Chef to join the brand new Level 1 Restaurant at St Marys Stadium home of Southampton FC. This is your chance to step into a leadership role, help shape a fresh dining concept, and make your mark at one of the South Coasts most exciting new restaurants.
The Role
As Sous Chef, youll work closely with the Head Chef to deliver an exceptional food offering in a fast-paced, 7-day operation. Youll take a hands on role in leading the kitchen, supporting with menu development, ensuring smooth service, and maintaining the highest culinary standards. This is the ideal role for a strong Junior Sous ready to step up or a current Sous Chef looking for a new, high profile challenge.
Key Responsibilities
Supporting the Head Chef in the day-to-day running of all kitchen operations.
Leading, motivating, and developing the kitchen team, especially in the Head Chefs absence.
Overseeing prep, service, and kitchen workflow to ensure consistent quality and efficiency.
Managing ordering, stock control, and waste to maintain cost and GP targets.
Ensuring full compliance with food safety, hygiene regulations, and H&S policies.
About You
Proven experience as a Sous Chef or strong Junior Sous ready to step up.
Confident leading a team, with excellent communication and organisational skills.
Able to thrive under pressure within a busy, fast-paced environment.
Passionate about fresh, seasonal ingredients and delivering exceptional dining experiences.
Positive, driven, and eager to contribute creative ideas to a brand-new venue.
