Reporting to the Affordability Team Leader, the Affordability Analyst will assist with the processing and credit checking of new business applications, renewals and additional premiums for affordability evaluation. You’ll be responsible for reviewing customers credit files via external credit reference agencies, reviewing customers income and expenditure to determine affordability as well as liaising with customers regarding IVAs. You will also: - Liaise with brokers and customers via email to gather any additional required information. - Approve or decline loans within your authorisation guidelines - Make recommendations to underwriters in respect of applications and agreements - Assist with incoming broker and customer enquiries, proactively resolving queries or referring to underwriters. - Work within service levels, ensuring that you participate in group tasks or projects. To be considered as our Affordability Analyst you will need: - The ability to work well within a team and build effective relationships - You should be able to prioritise your workload and work methodically - You’ll have an eye for detail and be able to spot errors - You’re confident in following processes to aid decision making A background in affordability would be beneficial to your application; however isn’t required. This is so that we can assess how you are likely to respond to certain role related situations. Stage 3: If both you and we agree to continue, we’ll set up a video interview with the Hiring Manager and a representative from HR. Whatever the outcome, we will let you know. Stage 4: Depending on the role, a successful interview will either result in an offer or a second video interview with a stakeholder from the team. Stage 5: If you are successful following the video interview process, then we will extend a verbal offer, which will be followed up in writing if you verbally accept.
