Background
Our client is a world-leading medical education platform seeking an innovative Chief Executive Officer
(CEO) to lead its next phase of growth.
This platform is a primary resource for healthcare students and professionals worldwide.
With over two million visitors each month, our client empowers learners and professionals with high-
quality medical content in text and diagrammatic form, alongside custom learning pathways
and testing. We believe that medical education should be accessible, interactive, and
engaging for everyone worldwide.
The Role
As CEO you will be responsible for driving the strategic vision of the Company, ensuring
operational excellence and sustainable growth while maintaining the Company's commitment to
outstanding educational content. This is a small team supported by a wide population of
content creators and editors. You will be responsible for this community, for commercial
partnerships, and for the Platform's position as a staple medical resource.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement the long-term strategy for the Platform's websites
* Lead business development initiatives and explore new revenue opportunities
* Oversee operations, ensuring efficiency and alignment with Company goals
* Engage with stakeholders, partners, and investors to drive innovation
* Maintain a strong focus on the quality and integrity of medical content
* Inspire and support the community of learners, contributors, and editors
* This is a very lean company so be prepared to be hands-on in both planning and execution
The Ideal Candidate
Our client is looking for an experienced professional who possesses:
* A passion for education, innovation, and digital enablement
* A strong background in SaaS, with proven leadership experience
* Ideally (but perhaps not essentially) a medical background
* High proficiency in both written and spoken English
* The ability to be present in Cambridge, UK very regularly (weekly)
