Cook/Chef - Causeway Hospital (Coleraine) Join the catering team at Causeway Hospital as a Cook / Chef and use your skills to help deliver nutritious, high-quality meals to patients and staff every day. About the role:
1. £12.31 per hour
2. 30 hours a week
3. Shifts: 7am to 1.30pm or 10am to 5am
What you'll be doing in this role:
4. Prepare, cook and present meals in accordance with set menus, dietary requirements and portion controls.
5. Ensure all food is prepared and stored safely, following hygiene and HACCP standards.
6. Assist with menu planning and the ordering of ingredients to maintain stock levels.
7. Maintain cleanliness and organisation in all kitchen areas, including equipment and work surfaces.
8. Work collaboratively with catering assistants and other staff to ensure timely meal service across the hospital.
What you'll need for this role:
9. NVQ level 2 food preparation or equivalent
10. Mandatory Training requirements: Food Safety level 2, COSHH, Fire, Manual handling, Food allergens and Knowledge of Dysphagia diet (desirable)
11. As part of the Recruitment & Selection process it may be necessary for the Organisation to carry out an Enhanced Disclosure Check through Access NI before any appointment to this post can be confirmed.
