Salary: £28,298.27 per annum + excellent benefits
Full Time: 37 hours per week
Working hours: Monday – Friday between 6.00am – 5.15pm with occasional Saturday & Bank Holiday shifts.
As a Machine Driver/Operative in our Sandwell team you'll manage the acceptance of waste, control the traffic flow around site and load waste onto artic lorries using shovel loaders in a safe and timely manner.
Responsibilities
* To carry out the loading of all waste materials in and out of the site
* To assist with the traffic direction and efficient movement of vehicles on site whilst ensuring a safe working environment
* Responsible for the daily inspection, general maintenance and reporting procedure – of all plant and vehicles prior to and on completion of usage
* To understand Serco contractual requirements - of refuse & recycling
* Responsible for the cleanliness of the Eagle Recovery and Transfer Hub site – the building, plant, equipment, vehicle wash and general site area
What you’ll need
* Hold a valid driving licence
* Experience around Plant, Machinery and within a transfer station is desirable
* Physically fit and healthy due to the nature of the business
* Prepared to go on call out of hours for the site on a rota
* Self motivated
* Willingness to undertake further training
