CONTRACT TYPE: Fixed-term Contract, Full-time till 31 January 2026
DEPARTMENT: BBC Children's and Education
LOCATION: Salford - Hybrid
PROPOSED SALARY RANGE: £29,000 - £35,000 depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.

The Production Co-Ordinator role will support the delivery of a portfolio of projects across the BBC C&E slate.
WHY JOIN THE TEAM
As part of the Production Management team in BBC Children's & Education you will work in partnership with our Editorial colleagues to deliver high quality projects across the BBC C&E slate. In particular in this role, you will work as part of the PM team across BBC Bitesize, Bitesize for Teachers and Teacher Engagement as well as overseeing the Live Lessons commission. You'll work to a Production Manager and alongside another Production Co-ordinator and a Production Management apprentice.
YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND IMPACT:
Supporting the Production Manager across a portfolio of projects
Supporting the editorial team through the commissioning process for BBC Bitesize and Bitesize for Teachers content
Working alongside another PC to ensure the full portfolio is covered
Raising payments promptly for our freelance community across BBC systems such as Smartbook and SAP
Raising PO's ensuring suppliers are paid promptly
Logistical support for various Educational events and conferences throughout the year to support Teacher Engagement
Checking and approving post production paperwork in Silvermouse from Independent production companies for commissioned content
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
Knowledge and Experience of the BBC Education Commissioning process
BBC Systems experience - IE: Smartbook, SAP
Experience of Silvermouse and Post Production Paperwork
Experience of working across multiple productions
Experience in event set up and logistics
DESIRED BUT NOT REQUIRED:
Prior knowledge and experience of working across BBC C&E projects
