Are you a passionate and experienced Learning Resource Assistant looking to inspire the next generation? Peterborough College is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic person to join our Library team. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the successful learning experiences of our students. To assist in the day-to-day running of Library and Digital Learning Resource Services. To provide high quality customer service to staff and students. Support staff and students on all aspects of digital technology to support their learning and skills acquisition.
Responsibilities
* Operate the Heritage Cirqa computerised system for loans, membership, reservations enquiries, overdues, invoicing, notifications and entering new records.
* Assist with checking reading lists and respond to purchasing requests to create online orders.
* Raise purchasing orders, receive items, and send invoices via the Finance system.
* Process the new stock, following the stock processing procedures.
* Deal with general information enquiries using a wide range of printed and electronic resources including subject specific electronic resources, e-books and the VLE.
* Contribute to Digital Learning Resource Centre student inductions.
* Liaise with curriculum areas to promote usage of the Learning Resource Centre.
* Represent Learning Resource Centre at course team meetings and cross campus committees.
* Supervise students working in the Learning Resource Centre. Provide support to users on IT equipment and software to improve their digital literacy skills.
* Carry out general Digital Learning Resource Centre housekeeping tasks e.g. shelving, replacement of stock, repair, and renewal.
* Undertake general administrative duties as required.
