This is a pivotal leadership role with a dual focus: delivering strategic projects and taskforces that drive organisational change and improvement, while also cultivating a culture of innovation that empowers colleagues to experiment, test, and deliver ideas that make a real difference.
As Head of Innovation you will lead our new innovation team - a place where ideas are welcomed, supported, and resourced. Whether it's a colleague with a spark of inspiration or a team ready to trial something new, you'll help turn ideas into impact. Innovation here means more than creativity - it's about purposeful change that benefits our customers and colleagues alike.
This role is about encouraging ideation from all possible areas, providing transparency on how those ideas are then refined and selected for implementation and feedback in an open and honest way on the results, it's about creating and fostering a psychologically safe culture to experiment and learn and to iterate through ideas and problems to get to the right solution.
While technology may play a part in these ideas, this isn't a technical or digital focused role, this role is about people and how we can best support them to do their best.
