Job Title: Principal Electrical Power Engineer

What you’ll be doing:
* Functional design and definition of Electrical Power Systems equipment
* Authoring and reviewing technical documentation
* Managing associated technical risks, assumptions, and dependencies
* Providing advice on electrical power technical aspects across a broad range of engineering disciplines
* Engaging with customers and suppliers to provide solutions to complex problems
* Leading and mentoring junior team members through the systems definition process
* Traveling to various locations throughout the UK, including BAE, customer, and supplier sites
Your skills and experiences:
Essential
* Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent engineering experience
* Chartered Engineer status or significant progress towards Chartership
* Extensive knowledge of AC and DC electrical power systems
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Electrical Power Systems Definition team:
Working on the UK’s next-generation SSN design, incorporating technology from the UK, Australia, and the US, you will be part of the Electrical Power team responsible for defining equipment needs, system elements, design documentation, spatial modeling, and build outputs. Relocation support packages are available for eligible roles.
