University Hospitals of North Midlands is currently unable to provide sponsorship for this role. This aligns with UKVI guidelines and legislation, as these roles do not meet the skill or salary threshold for sponsorship. If you hold a graduate visa, you are welcome to apply; however, UHNM will be unable to offer sponsorship at the end of your visa. You must also have at least six months remaining until your graduate visa expires at the start of employment for training and operational reasons.

North Midlands and Cheshire Pathology Service (NMCPS) is seeking to recruit a Biomedical Associate Practitioner within the Staffordshire Anticoagulation Service.

The post holder will perform a range of routine and non-routine healthcare science tasks within Pathology, following Laboratory Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), including the Pathology Quality Policy. The role provides technical support to Biomedical Scientists (BMS) and Clinical Nurse Specialists to ensure high-quality service delivery in the relevant Pathology discipline.

Responsibilities include sample preparation, operation and maintenance of laboratory equipment, and updating information systems. The post holder will work within the department's Policies and Procedures, especially regarding Health and Safety and Quality, and assist with monitoring quality standards. The role involves supervising and allocating work to Pathology Support Workers and Medical Laboratory Assistants, and contributing as an efficient, flexible team member to support service delivery.
