Your new role
As a Finance Officer (Higher Level), you will work within the Financial Support Services team, initially focusing on the Payments section. Your responsibilities will include managing monthly payments for service users, overseeingpliance with financial agreements, and maintaining accurate records. You will act as the key point of contact for queries, prepare reconciliations, and support month-end and year-end processes. Additional duties include issuing financialmunications, assisting with audits, producing management reports, and supervising staff where required. This role offers variety and the chance to contribute to process improvements and service delivery.
What you'll need to succeed
1. Previous experience in a finance or payments role
2. Strong knowledge of financial processes, reconciliations, andpliance
3. Excellent organisational andmunication skills
4. Ability to work accurately under pressure and meet deadlines
5. Proficiency in financial systems and Microsoft Office
6. Experience in public sector finance or similar environment is desirable
