SEN Teacher Needed in Folkestone – Start Immediately
Job Title: SEN Teacher
Location: Folkestone
Salary: £150 – £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time
GSL Education are looking for a dedicated SEN Teacher to join a supportive and inclusive school environment in Folkestone. This position is ideal for a teacher who can deliver high‑quality, adaptable learning experiences for students with a range of Special Educational Needs.
Key Responsibilities of the SEN Teacher:
* Plan and deliver differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
* Create a structured and supportive classroom environment for students with SEN, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and MLD.
* Implement a variety of specialist strategies to promote engagement, progress, and independence.
* Work closely with teaching assistants, SENCOs, and multi-agency professionals to support each pupil’s development.
* Track, assess, and report on student progress, ensuring clear communication with parents/carers.
Requirements for the SEN Teacher role:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
* Previous experience working with SEN learners in mainstream or specialist settings.
* Strong understanding of differentiated planning, behaviour-support approaches, and individual education plans.
* Effective communication, organisational skills, and a flexible working approach.
* An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
