Role: Project & Process Manager - Sustainability

Your New Role
The purpose of the role is to manage projects and own processes supporting the enterprise-wide transformation of sustainability performance. The role aims to embed sustainability into all aspects of the organization, impacting flagship initiatives.
The Project and Process Manager is responsible for risk management, benefits & value management, and escalating risks and issues. They ensure project teams adhere to quality and compliance standards and support assurance activities.
Projects led by this role may involve significant financial investment and risks, including reputational. The role involves engaging with internal and external stakeholders and representing Global Sustainability externally.
The role includes acting as a Business Process Owner for various processes within Global Sustainability, such as the Natural Resource Fund, involving process review and improvement.
The role is part of the Projects and Change team in Global Sustainability, working with subject matter experts to achieve AstraZeneca’s sustainability goals.
Your Responsibilities
1. Lead cross-functional sustainability projects, establishing and leading teams per recognized project management frameworks to ensure timely and budgeted delivery.
2. Own and improve business processes through a business process management approach.
3. Represent sustainability in transformational activities and provide expert input.
4. Develop and promote sustainability strategy within AstraZeneca.
5. Coordinate projects and alliances with internal and external stakeholders, providing clarity and vision.
6. Manage project budgets, costs, and benefits for Global Sustainability.
7. Identify and manage project risks, making decisions on risk management.
8. Communicate effectively and influence others on sensitive issues, supporting key decisions.
9. Demonstrate high business acumen.
10. Have experience in sustainability projects or functions.
11. Possess excellent communication and teamwork skills.
12. Be globally and culturally aware.
13. Influence stakeholders across different units and seniority levels.
14. Experience in the pharmaceutical or regulated industries.
15. Possess subject matter expertise in sustainability.
16. Manage projects or change programs affecting multiple stakeholders in a matrixed environment.
