MWH Treatment are looking to strengthen our Planning team with a permanent Planning Manager for our Scottish Water, ESD framework. This role combines project planning responsibilities with the management of the local planning team. This role will primary be responsible for leading, mentoring and inspiring the Planning Team, whilst being the technical expert that enhances the team’s skillset and leads by example in creating high-quality project programmes
The Planning Manager will take ownership of one or more project plans, ensuring the project team delivers according to schedule while addressing any delays or deviations. You will also support the MWH planning function in implementing industry-leading planning processes and procedures.
Role Responsibilities
1. Directly supporting Project Managers and Project Teams across the business to deliver high quality programmes that support efficient project delivery.
2. Creating detailed Primavera P6 programmes that meet the requirements of our projects whilst developing P6 templates that meet our client’s expectations.
3. Developing and maintaining project plans through reliable project management methodologies with assurance of baseline scheduling.
4. Line Management of the planning team including workload balancing, mentoring and developing team members.
5. Providing technical expertise to the team in Primavera P6, MS Project and related project planning activities.
6. Develop project, programme and framework level reporting to enhance the information and intelligence available for business planning using PowerBI and related software.
7. Manage the link between the regional planning team and the business’ Head of Planning
