About The Role
As a Chef de Partie, you will assist the Sous Chef & Head Chef in delivering the Butlins food propositions. You will be responsible for a specific section of the kitchen, ensuring the safe preparation, cooking, and presentation of dishes according to set recipes and brand standards. You will oversee and manage small teams of commis chefs, ensuring food safety policy compliance. Enrolled in our award-winning Butlins Chef Academy, you'll develop your skills in a fun, educational environment, progressing to more senior roles.
In this role, you will deputise in the absence of the sous chef, manage daily operations in your section, and ensure efficiency and safety. You will maintain a clean workstation, adhere to health and safety regulations, and lead, train, and mentor commis chefs. You will also prepare and cook dishes as per recipes, complete daily food diaries, and support budget control with the Head Chef and Sous Chef.
Key Responsibilities
We seek individuals with experience at this level or those looking to advance their culinary careers. You should be hardworking, reliable, and proactive in improving team standards. Enthusiasm, energy, and a positive attitude are essential, along with a Level 3 Food Safety qualification and leadership confidence in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include managing margins, controlling costs, and maintaining health, safety, and hygiene standards.
This is a full-time, permanent role, offering 35 guaranteed hours per week over 5 days, including weekends and late finishes. Shifts range from 7 am to midnight. On-resort accommodation is available for those relocating.
