Technical Account Manager – Agricultural Sales & Agronomy – Yorkshire – Circa £50,000 + Company car + laptop + mobile phone
The Job:
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Technical Account Manager to join a leading agricultural business in Yorkshire. This position involves managing a small internal sales team, strengthening existing customer relationships, and developing new business across agriculture, equine, amenity, and environmental markets. You’ll combine your technical agronomy expertise with strong commercial insight to deliver practical, profitable solutions and long-term partnerships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and motivate a small regional sales team to achieve and exceed targets
- Manage key customer accounts while identifying and securing new business opportunities
- Provide technical and agronomy support across a range of land-based sectors
- Work collaboratively with internal departments to ensure exceptional service delivery
- Support sales planning, forecasting, and overall commercial strategy

The Candidate:
- Proven experience in agricultural or agronomy-based sales (crop inputs or related fields)
- Leadership experience, ideally managing or mentoring a small team
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills
- Sound technical understanding of crop management and land-based practices
- Commercially aware, self-motivated, and proactive
- Full UK driving licence essential
- BASIS and/or FACTS qualification (or working towards) desirable
- Degree or equivalent in Agriculture, Agronomy, or related discipline preferred
