This role is available full-time for 37 hours per week, Monday-Friday, or part-time with a minimum coverage of 28 hours per week. Flexible or compressed working hours are available.
This role is office-based.
Responsibilities include:
* Designing, building, and testing electronic circuits and printed circuit boards.
* Working within a product development team on hardware products and security solutions.
* Creating and maintaining electronic hardware for custom-designed security products.
* Modifying existing designs and collaborating on new product/system designs.
Training and development: You will receive training, support, and a training budget for external courses. You will also have time allocated for innovation and research.
About You:
* Experience in the design and test of analogue, digital, and microcontroller-based systems.
* Understanding of product and system design and development.
* Relevant work experience or qualifications, such as an HND in electrical/electronic engineering.
Beneficial but not essential:
* Further qualifications in electrical/electronic or mechanical engineering, or a relevant Degree (2:2 or higher).
* Experience with electronic schematic capture, PCB design, RF design, EMC, and signal integrity.
* Knowledge of PCB manufacturing processes.

Role Activities:
* Designing, developing, and documenting electronic PCB systems.
* Verifying designs through testing and peer reviews.
* Supporting products and investigating defects.
* Contributing to library parts and project planning.
