Role Overview This role is an excellent opportunity for a psychology graduate looking to gain hands-on experience in an educational setting, particularly for those considering careers in teaching, educational psychology, or mental health support. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and pastoral staff to support students with learning difficulties, special educational needs (SEN), and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) challenges. The role will involve both academic and emotional support, helping students develop confidence, resilience, and positive learning habits. Key Responsibilities: Providing one-to-one and small group support to students, particularly those with SEMH needs or special educational needs (SEN). Assisting students with their academic progress, focusing on subjects where they may require additional support. Supporting the pastoral and emotional well-being of students by offering guidance and encouragement. Helping students develop strategies to improve their self-esteem, motivation, and behaviour. Collaborating with teachers and SEN coordinators to adapt lesson materials for students with additional learning needs.
