Are you passionate about helping young people make informed choices about their futures? We’re looking for a qualified Careers Adviser (or someone working towards Level 6) to provide high-quality careers information, advice, and guidance across two secondary schools in Wakefield. What you’ll be doing Deliver one-to-one careers guidance sessions to pupils at key transition stages (e.g. GCSE and post-16 choices). Produce tailored Careers Action Plans and keep accurate records of outcomes. Organise and deliver group sessions and workshops, such as employability skills, option choices, and labour market information. Support schools with careers education activities, including collapsed timetable days and parent evenings. Build strong working relationships with school staff and external partners to ensure young people receive the right support. About you: Level 6 Careers Guidance qualification (or Level 4 with a commitment to complete Level 6). Experience of delivering careers information, advice and guidance to young people. Knowledge of the Gatsby Benchmarks is desirable. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and engage young people. Flexible, well organised, and able to manage a caseload effectively. An understanding of safeguarding, equality, and diversity in education.
