About the Role
As a Specialist Dyslexia Tutor you will play a key role in supporting and teaching young people in small groups and one‑to‑one sessions. You will screen students in Further Education with dyslexic tendencies, organise exam concessions, and support those with EHCPs.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
* Teaching and supporting children with dyslexia in small groups and individual sessions.
* Screening students for dyslexic tendencies and determining appropriate accommodations.
* Co‑ordinating exam concessions and managing individual learning needs.
* Working collaboratively with other educators and specialist support staff.

About You
What we are looking for:
* Qualified teacher (DET, PGCE or Certificate in Education).
* Level 7 SPLD qualified Assessor, or experience as a Dyslexia Teacher with lower relevant qualifications.
* At least two years’ experience teaching students with SPLD.
* Experience with a range of conditions impacting learning – SEND & SEMH.
* Experience with assisted technologies.
* Safeguarding knowledge and understanding.
Salary
There are two salary scale points for this position. All candidates will start at the introductory salary scale. Employees can move up the salary scale after one full academic year of teaching for the group, subject to approval.
