What will the role involve?
* Take ownership of the HBAA full case reviews and ensure we meet all targets set by the DWP for case reviews.
* Visit customers in their homes to help collect information needed for HBAA reviews, fraud referrals and other reviews as required.
* Liaise with voluntary organisations, other services of the Council or other organisations, to ensure customers receive a comprehensive service, sound advice and are supported to make informed choices.
* Undertake other reviews to identify changes in circumstances and report these for amendment to Revenues and Benefits officers.
What skills, knowledge and abilities do you require for the role?
* A thorough knowledge and understanding of benefits legislation and guidance, and strong communication and problem‑solving skills.
* A positive and proactive attitude, and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service and continuous improvement.
* Experience of dealing with customers and/or members of the public and handling personal or sensitive information.
* A full UK driving licence.
