About the job
1. As a Production Operator you will be assisting with the efficient running of the packing lines in Production area within a busy milk production and packing site
2. To contribute to the quality and technical areas in the Production team to enable it to produce the highest quality milk products in a reliable and cost effective way
3. Effectively run Production and Packing lines by using production IT systems
4. Perform simple maintenance tasks
5. Monitor equipment performance and correct / raise issues before they become problems
6. Ensure that a high standard on Quality and Health and Safety is maintained including compliance with Arla and customer procedures.
7. Finished product quality checks
Who are you?
8. Ideally the candidate will have some experience of process control / packing systems, have a mechanical aptitude and basic computer skills,
9. Good knowledge of Health & Safety and Food Hygiene would be preferable, although the appropriate training will be provided.
10. Be numerate and deal with paperwork, data entry systems including SIC, SAP, MDE, OEE Database and completing production logs
11. Be a proactive team player contributing to problem solving for continuous improvement.
12. Have a very flexible attitude to hours of work which include weekend, shift working on a rota basis and holiday cover
13. You must be a strong communicator, who is able to prioritise tasks in a timely and organised manner and contribute to regular department meetings
