MechWorx LTD are seeking experienced overhead / gantry crane operators with SC Clearance to support our on-going projects across the UK. This is for an immediate or short notice start. The role is to operate heavy-duty gantry cranes to safely lift and move materials, conducts daily equipment inspections, collaborates with riggers and ground crews, adheres to strict safety protocols, The role demands excellent communication, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team in a plant or similar industrial or nuclear environment. Key Responsibilities Overhead / Gantry Crane Operation: Safely operate heavy-duty gantry and overhead cranes to lift, move, and position large and heavy materials. Safety & Inspection: Perform daily equipment inspections, pre-start checks, and routine safety inspections to ensure your equipment are in optimal working condition before use. Coordination: Work closely with site managers, riggers, banksmen, and ground crews to coordinate overhead / gantry operations and ensure smooth material flow and plant performance. Maintenance: Conduct minor repairs to the machinery within your capability and report any issues to supervisors. Documentation: Keep records of materials moved and follow company instructions and guidelines. Required Skills and Qualifications Experience: Proven experience operating gantry cranes. Nuclear experience is desirable.
