Role: SEN Teaching Assistant

Salary: £20,000 - £24,000 (depending on experience)
A welcoming and inclusive SEN school in Hammersmith is looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as possible. This is a fantastic opportunity to support students with a range of special educational needs in a nurturing and supportive environment, helping them thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Role Highlights:
* Full-time, permanent position at a welcoming SEN school in Hammersmith
* Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with a variety of special educational needs, including autism, speech and language difficulties, and learning disabilities
* Assist teachers in delivering tailored lessons and interventions to meet individual student needs
* Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where every student feels valued and supported
* Help students develop their social, emotional, and academic skills, encouraging independence and confidence
* Work closely with the SENCO and other professionals to ensure effective support strategies are implemented
* Monitor student progress and contribute to their personal and academic development
Experience & Qualifications:
* Previous experience working with children with SEN (desirable but not essential)
* A compassionate, patient, and adaptable approach to working with children with additional needs
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other professionals
* A positive, proactive attitude to supporting children’s learning and development
* Enhanced DBS check required
