Role Details Role / Job Title: Business Analysts in Fusion HCM Payroll, Benefit Work Location: Crawley, UK Any Other Working Conditions (travel/on call/shifts): 3 days' work from office The Role We need 'Oracle Fusion Functional BA in Payroll and Benefits module to support our Oracle Fusion related applications and delivery for one of the UK's large airline customer. The Business Analyst will serve as the functional lead for reviewing, assessing, and optimising the customer's existing Payroll and Benefits processes within Oracle Fusion HCM. The role focuses on defining strong, resilient, and scalable business processes, aligning them with Fusion best practices, statutory requirements, and organisational objectives. Your Responsibilities Business Process Review & Best Practice Design Conduct deep dive assessments of current Payroll and Benefits processes to identify gaps, inefficiencies, compliance risks, dependency constraints, and failure points. Lead and facilitate workshops with HR, Payroll, and Benefits stakeholders to define AS IS and shape TO BE processes that modernize operations and embed Oracle Fusion standard capabilities. Recommend process simplification, standardisation, and automation opportunities aligned with Oracle Fusion HCM best practices. Business Analysis & Functional Leadership Translate business needs into detailed functional requirements, ensuring clarity for downstream design, configuration, testing, and operational teams. Conduct fit gap analysis to validate where customer requirements align with Fusion functionality and advise on alternatives where customisation is not advisable. Support the creation of functional documents such as BRDs, FSDs, process flows, use cases, and decision logs. Payroll Process Expertise Provide hands on functional expertise in Payroll cycles including pre payroll validations, payroll run, costing, reconciliation, retro processing, and statutory checks. Interpret results involving elements, balances, eligibility rules, costing, and Fast Formula logic (without requiring technical configuration responsibilities). Validate compliance with UK legislation and ensure payroll process integrity during quarterly updates. Benefits Process Expertise Review and guide redesign of Benefit plans, eligibility rules, life event triggers, enrolment flows, and payroll integration points to ensure accuracy and employee experience consistency. Support Open Enrollment and mid cycle life events by validating process dependencies and identifying operational risks. Stakeholder Engagement & Change Enablement Act as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders, enabling process clarity, decision making, and adoption readiness. Provide guidance to operations teams on process governance, escalation handling, and exception scenarios. Drive process alignment across HR, Payroll, Finance, and IT, ensuring cross functional coherence. Testing, Controls & Quality Assurance Support UAT by validating end to end process flows and ensuring that business scenarios, statutory rules, and integrations behave as expected. Assess impacts of quarterly releases and regulatory changes on business processes and advise on required updates. Required Skills & Experience Strong functional expertise in Oracle Fusion Payroll, Benefits, Core HR, and related cross module interactions. Hands on experience in business process mapping, AS IS/TO BE analysis, fit gap evaluation, and solution recommendations. Experience engaging with senior stakeholders and guiding them toward resilient, long term process decisions. Familiarity with Fusion tools such as OTBI / BI Publisher for report validation and process insights. Excellent documentation, analytical, problem solving, and communication skills. Soft Skills Strong documentation, problem solving, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to work cross functionally and manage deadlines in a fast paced environment.
