Mechanical Design Engineer
Sheffield
£30,000 - £35,000 (dependent on experience)
I am currently working with a well-established engineering business in Sheffield; they are looking to add a Mechanical Design Engineer to their growing team.
This is a great opportunity for someone with at least 2 years’ experience who is looking to develop their career within a supportive and forward-thinking environment.

Responsibilities of the Mechanical Design Engineer:
* Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies
* Produce accurate 2D and 3D drawings for manufacture
* Work closely with production and fabrication teams to ensure designs are practical
* Liaise with customers and internal teams on design specifications
* Support projects from concept through to completion
* Ensure all designs meet industry standards and regulations
Requirements of the Mechanical Design Engineer:
* Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Mechanical Design Engineer role
* Experience using 2D and 3D AutoCAD
* Experience producing engineering drawings for manufacture
* Sheet metal design experience
* Automotive industry experience is (desired)
* Experience designing commercial vehicles, pressure vessels or tanks (desired)
