Drive High-Impact Agricultural Research Partnerships in WA
We are seeking two full-time, fixed-term appointments until 30 June 2026, with potential for extension, to lead and facilitate high-impact agricultural research collaborations across Western Australia's leading institutions. Secondments from partner organizations are welcome. The base salary range is $167,408 – $172,584 per annum, plus 17% superannuation.
About the Area
The WA Agricultural Research Collaboration (WAARC) is a strategic alliance involving DPIRD, CSIRO, GGA, Murdoch University, Curtin University, and UWA. WAARC aims to revitalize WA’s agricultural research ecosystem by aligning research with industry priorities and enabling world-class, applied research across the supply chain, connecting researchers, growers, and industry for practical impact.
About the Opportunity
* Identify, scope, and prioritize high-value research opportunities aligned with WA’s agricultural needs and WAARC’s strategic goals.
* Facilitate collaboration among researchers, industry partners, and funders to co-design impactful projects and attract external investment.
* Support funding proposals, broker partnerships, and track projects within WAARC’s research themes.
About You
* Postgraduate qualification (Master’s or PhD preferred) in agriculture, science, innovation management, or related fields.
* Extensive experience in agricultural research coordination, funding strategies, and industry engagement.
* Proven success in developing interdisciplinary research collaborations and investment proposals.
* Strong understanding of WA’s agricultural landscape and a well-established network of research and industry contacts.
* Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and strategic planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and meet deadlines.
Special Requirements
* Willingness to travel across WA and interstate.
* Flexibility to adapt to evolving needs of WAARC.
