About the role
The Regional Service Centre Manager is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the Motherwell site. You will ensure that the RSC’s short, medium and long-term vision aligns with the Company’s strategy with a clear operational plan for the coming season. The RSC Manager has substantial budget responsibility and oversees a team of over 150 staff across warehousing and transport. You will ensure delivery of the right product, at the right time, at optimal cost, continually challenging the status quo to improve performance.
You will build strong working relationships with Next’s operational management network, external suppliers, and customers. You will demonstrate exceptional leadership, planning and decision-making to ensure service delivery levels are met and to rapidly address issues with effective solutions. You will work with the RSC General Manager and other RSC Managers to share best practice and drive continuous improvement within the logistics network. The role requires an effective people manager to drive performance by leading and empowering your team, including direct management of Warehouse and Transport Assistant Site Managers who in turn manage large teams.
About you

You will lead by example, be highly motivated, and have the vision to drive change and see the bigger picture. You should have significant experience in a management role within retail and online distribution, ideally with a Transport Management CPC, and a proven track record of leading large teams of over 100.
