We are currently seeking a qualified individual for the Sanitation Manager position, joining our Nottingham, PA team!
* SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday aproximately 40+ hours a week

Job Summary:
This position is responsible for collaborating with plant management, sanitation & custodial employees to plan and execute the plant Sanitation Compliance Plan.Position responsibilities include developing, implementing and continuously improving sanitation programs, policies, and key performance indicators for the facility.This position has a heavy emphasis on working cross functionally and collaborating with plant managers, supervisors & leads to inform them on sanitation needs through audits and ensure compliance with all Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures.

Key Responsibilities
Sanitation Program Oversight:
* Maintain the Master Sanitation Schedule with reported feedback from Production Supervisors & Leads after sanitation is conducted.
* Responsible for monitoring, verifying, and validating sanitation and quality programs.
* Identify areas of plant in need of sanitation and coordinate action plan with help from Production management.
* Oversee sanitation supply ordering, inventory, and usage to ensure all production and janitorial teams are following SDS requirements and PPE standards. Manages chemical re-ordering.
* Responsible for completion of corrective action for monthly sanitation audits.Reports audit findings to Production Management.Enhance measurement and improvement of sanitation effectiveness/performance.
* Coordinate PPE inventory and compliance across departments ensuring all employees are consistently utilizing required PPE for sanitation tasks.
* Manage and track assurance of ideal chemical titration monitoring program.
* Provide expertise and leadership in Sanitation programs and SSOP to all employees & leadership partners.
* Demonstrate cross functional collaboration with all employees, including with Food Safety Manager, plant Quality Managers and production leadership.
* Monitor microbiological reports & ATP testing results from the plant to determine whether cleaning procedures are being followed.Take corrective action where warranted.
* Maintain SSOP’s to ensure accuracy.
* Oversee compliance with federally mandated regulations, such as FDA and EPA.
* Attain and demonstrate a thorough understanding of Platform Sanitation guidance policies and procedures.
* Participate in regular meetings with plant management to discuss quality and sanitation successes, improvements or needs.
* Develops and implements new methods, procedures, and systems to improve sanitation performance.
* Trains staff in sanitation & chemical safety at desired and required frequencies, keeping track of training documentation.
Janitorial:
* Coordinate all cleaning/sanitation schedule/action plans for all plant common areas including plant breakrooms, locker rooms, restrooms, offices and lobbies.
* Oversee sanitation materials / consumables by keeping track of inventory, usage and ordering supplies proactively when necessary.
* Responsible for scheduling/managing:
* Floor striping/waxing
* Contract for external concrete power washing.
* Contract for external window cleaning
* Carpet cleaning for plant 1 & 2 common areas.
* Waste Management – Trash Disposal/Dumpsters
* Contract for doorway walking mats cleanliness
Supervisory Oversight:
* Hire, train and manage the budgeted staffing for the custodial department (full time, part time, and/or seasonal)
* Plans and organizes schedules, training and daily responsibilities and follows up on work results.
* Assess individual performance, complete performance evaluations and communicating individual development plans.
* Provide thoughtful and constructive coaching to individuals to improve performance and optimize individual and team contributions.
* Maintain good communication with team to ensure a focus on key priorities while maintaining employee engagement.
* Enforce all manufacturing safety regulatory policies and procedures are always implemented and maintained, thus ensuring that all health and safety guidelines are followed.
* Ensure all employees make safety a priority by having safety conversations and demonstrating through actions his/her commitment to safety.
Third Party Contracts:
* Manage/liaison for third party contract services for sanitation chemicals and pest control relationships.
* Manage sanitation and pest control programs, systems, procedures, & databases for the facility.Utilize technical skills and experience to trouble shoot sanitation, and pest control issues.
Qualifications
* Certified Sanitarian desired but not required.
* Minimum of 3 years sanitation experience required.
* Sanitation or custodial management experience of 1 year required, 3+ years preferred.
* Bi-lingual preferred, not required.
* Proven ability to implement process improvement initiative.
* Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills.
* Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to internal/external customers.
* Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to set own priorities to coordinate multiple assignments with fluctuating and time-sensitive deadlines. Attention to detail.
* Ability to analyze situations, apply independent judgment, discretion, and initiative to address problems and develop practical, thorough and creative solutions.
Physical requirements and work environment:
* Required to use a computer monitor, keyboard, and mouse.
* Ability to lift, up to 45 pounds on occasion, 25 pounds regularly.
* Must be able to perform strenuous physical activity in variety of extreme environments (hot, cold, humid, wet, etc).
* Work is physically demanding.
