Job Description:
The Shore Group has been appointed on behalf of a well-known Fit-Out Main Contractor who is seeking an Estimating Lead to join their team.
Ideal candidates will have:
* Experience working for a Commercial Fit-Out Main Contractor, specifically estimating cut and carve commercial office projects valued between £5M and £30M
* Proven expertise in cut and carve projects
* Experience preparing and leading detailed cost estimates across all construction packages
* Experience of value engineering
* Strong client-facing abilities and experience working with professional consultancy teams
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare comprehensive cost estimates for commercial fit-out projects, covering architectural, structural, and M&E elements.
* Analyze supplier and subcontractor returns and develop detailed scopes of work.
* Ensure bid documentation is complete and accurate.
* Negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers, maintaining good relationships.
* Collaborate with project managers, design teams, and external consultants during pre-construction.
* Lead project kick-off meetings for project mobilisation.
* Manage project workbooks with detailed cost breakdowns.
* Provide value engineering solutions for cost-effective delivery.
* Support continuous improvement of estimating processes and team development.
