Backs (13:45 - 20:45): £16.36 per hour

Job Overview:
Stafforce are recruiting for two experienced Metal Dressers to join our client's production team in Billingham. The successful candidates will be responsible for grinding, straightening tubes, and dressing welds using overhead cranes and various metal finishing tools. This role is key to ensuring high-quality standards in metal components and offers a temporary to permanent opportunity.
Key Responsibilities:
Grinding & Straightening: Remove surface defects and align tubes to exact tolerances
Weld Dressing: Smooth and finish welds to meet safety and visual standards
Overhead Crane Use: Operate overhead cranes safely to move tubes and materials
Tool Maintenance: Clean and maintain equipment and workstations
Quality Assurance: Inspect all finished work to meet internal specifications
Safety Compliance: Follow site safety rules, use correct PPE, and maintain a safe work environment
Requirements:
Previous experience in a similar metal dressing or finishing role
Skilled in using grinders, dressing tools, and basic metalwork machinery
Overhead crane experience preferred (certification is a bonus)
Strong attention to detail and consistent work qualityCost code S96
