Its core market is Grounds Management, but it has diversified into golf, horticulture, green waste recycling, and Glendale Countryside, which includes arboriculture, landscaping, and woodland management.
GLENDALE COUNTRYSIDE
Provides arboriculture, landscaping, and estate management services to public and private clients across the UK, including Local Authorities, the Ministry of Defence, and Blue-Chip Companies. Operates under various trading names and contracts.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Based at Weston office, covering Somerset and surrounding areas, responsible for daily countryside work including tree planting, fencing, scrub control, herbicide application, grass cutting, habitat management, woodland work, and ongoing contracts.
General Works: Understand operational requirements, perform duties as needed, support business development.
Job Specific: Carry out estate work such as brush cutting, chainsaw work, grass cutting, spraying, tree planting, invasive weed control, and furniture erection. Undertake horticultural operations and operate equipment like mowers, strimmers, hedge cutters, chainsaws, and supervise staff. Drive company vehicles and maintain equipment in accordance with policies.
Health, Safety & Security:
Follow health and safety procedures, ensure security of vehicles and equipment, maintain equipment in safe condition, and record maintenance activities.
Quality Management and Customer Care:
Work to quality and customer care standards, develop good client relationships, and comply with ISO14001 accreditation. Minimize environmental impact through proper handling of fuels, oils, waste, and pesticides. Deal promptly with spillages and hazards.
