A highly regarded two-form entry primary school in Barnet, is seeking an experienced and committed Year 5 Teacher to join the school from September 2026.
This is a full-time position for the Autumn Term (September-December), with the possibility of the role continuing beyond Christmas for the right candidate. The school is looking for a confident Key Stage 2 practitioner who can quickly establish positive relationships and maintain high standards of teaching and learning.
The Role
Full-time Year 5 Teacher position
Teaching a well-behaved and engaged Year 5 class
Full class teacher responsibilities, including planning, assessment and parent consultations
Shared planning and collaboration with the parallel Year 5 teacher
Delivering engaging and challenging lessons aligned with the Key Stage 2 curriculum
Monitoring pupil progress and ensuring strong outcomes for all learners
Opportunity for the role to extend beyond the Autumn Term
The Successful Candidate Will Have
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Recent experience teaching within Key Stage 2
Strong curriculum knowledge and effective classroom management skills
A positive and proactive approach to teaching and learning
Excellent communication and organisational skills
The ability to quickly integrate into an established school team

Salary
£195 - £255 per day, depending on experience.
