To undertake legal casework relating to Public Rights of Way. Core tasks
* To provide legal advice and have conduct of a caseload of Public Rights of Way matters to be submitted to the Planning Inspectorate.
* To include reviewing documentation, drafting of statement of reasons, interviewing users and preparing witness statements and comments on objections.
* Liasing with Paralegals and Senior lawyers as required.
* Such other duties and responsibilities of a similar grade and nature as required.
Essential
* Solicitor
* Experience of working in a local government legal environment using up to date and authoritative knowledge to support delivery of services.
* Experience of working to deadlines and managing own caseload.
* Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing to both internal and external parties.
* Strong analytical and research skills with ability to apply such to ensure service area objectives are achieved.
* Ability to work under pressure and organise a range of complex activities and priorities.
* Knowledge of Public Rights of Way Law.
