The Role: As an R&D Engineer, you will contribute to the design and development of electro-mechanical connected systems, surgical devices, and disposables in Obstetrics and Gynecology. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to bring innovative solutions to life, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
What You'll Do:
* Engineering Innovation:
o Design and develop components and assemblies using first principles.
o Create and debug electrical systems compliant with 60601 EMC and safety standards.
o Prototype, test, and validate new concepts.
o Build simulation models to optimize performance.
* Project Management:
o Manage tasks and deliverables to meet project goals on time and within budget.
o Participate in design reviews and implement DFMA principles.
o Identify and mitigate project risks collaboratively.
* Organizational Impact:
o Assess new opportunities and competitive products.
o Contribute to selecting cutting-edge tools and techniques.
o Collaborate cross-functionally for efficient delivery.
What You'll Bring:
* Essential Qualifications:
o Proficiency in electronic design (e.g., Altium).
o Experience with PCBs.
o Understanding of DFMA, statistical methods, and engineering principles.
o Skills in prototyping and troubleshooting systems.
o Experience drafting test protocols and reports.
* Preferred Skills:
o Knowledge of SPI, I2C, CAN buses.
o Expertise in electro-mechanical, robotic, or digital systems.
o Familiarity with FEA and simulation modeling.
o Background in DFSS and innovation processes.
* Education & Experience:
o BSc in biomedical engineering, electronics, or related fields.
o Cross-disciplinary expertise desirable.
