We are seeking passionate and dedicated Food Technology Teachers to join various schools around Oxford. The successful candidate will inspire students to develop practical cooking skills, an understanding of nutrition, and a passion for food science. This role begins September 2025.
Duties as a Food Technology Teacher:
1. Plan and deliver engaging Food Technology lessons in line with the national curriculum.
2. Teach topics such as food preparation, nutrition, hygiene, and food science.
3. Encourage creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving in the kitchen.
4. Ensure a safe and organised learning environment in food technology classrooms.
5. Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level Food Technology examinations (if applicable).
6. Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback.
7. Organise extracurricular activities like cooking clubs or competitions.
8. Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
9. Possess a degree in Food Technology, Nutrition, or a related subject.
10. Have experience teaching Food Technology at different key stages.
11. Demonstrate strong classroom management and communication skills.
12. Show a commitment to inspiring and supporting students.
