The Hewitt Fertility Centre is one of Britain’s largest Reproductive medicine units, providing comprehensive services to both NHS and fee-paying patients.

The Centre is committed to delivering high-quality care for fertility investigations and treatments. An opportunity has arisen at the Liverpool site for a Reception Administrator who is bright, committed, and enthusiastic. The role involves working within a rapidly developing service, requiring excellent communication skills and a background in administration.

The unit operates from 07:00 to 17:00, supporting a 7-day service. The successful candidate will cover weekend shifts.

The post holder will provide a welcoming, helpful, and efficient reception service for all patients and visitors, requiring understanding of administrative procedures and proficiency in relevant IT systems, including Patient Administrative Systems (PAS). The ability to handle high activity levels professionally and compassionately is essential. Weekend work is required.

Liverpool Women’s NHS FT became part of NHS University Hospitals of Liverpool Group (UHLG) in November 2024, aiming to improve patient care. UHLG is a large employer, serving over 630,000 people in Merseyside and providing regional specialist services for over two million in the North West.

At Liverpool Women’s Hospital, annual activities include delivering approximately 7,500 babies, performing around 50,000 gynaecological procedures, caring for over 1,000 premature newborns, conducting around 1,000 IVF cycles, and over 4,000 genetic appointments. The hospital is dedicated to research and innovation, making it a leading provider in Europe for women, babies, and families.

Key responsibilities include delivering high customer service, managing patient queries, checking patients into and out of appointments across multiple PAS systems, ensuring demographic accuracy, generating invoices, and processing payments.

Working pattern: Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays from 07:15 to 15:15, and Saturdays from 08:00 to 14:00.
